Inside the heart of the buried ziggurat-ship vibrates a maze of septagonal “rings” through which you can maneuver by rolling 3 successful MOV checks against difficulties 6, 7, and 8, one after another (all occur in the same round). If you fail any of them, you take d100 HEA and d4 GRT damage as you’re expelled from the system. If you make all three checks, you can grasp the fluid “meat” inside the rings and burn 2d20 GRT to retack the engine. It is now a functioning “handbrake-style” foldgate drive, and anyone who reaches the enigmabridge (nowhere near the engineheart) can theoretically pilot the entire ship/structure to any point in this universe by using the Blood and making a lot of impossible astrogation checks. Or by burning d100 GRT. Or by overclocking the engine so that the cost is lowered to d20 GRT—but, in this case, the engine permanently breaks down after a single tack.
